Following on from ‘Making A Difference’ that Archer Hampson produced in 2015, the new two minute video aims to promote the very best of what the College has to offer to both students and the local economy.
Showcasing the vast array of exciting courses that students can choose from, the video also helps to highlight how Derby College prepares hundreds of highly skilled young people for the workplace each year.
Combining footage shot on location across four different campuses, fast paced editing and a pumping soundtrack, it helps capture the vibrant nature of a forward thinking educational organisation.
Perhaps fittingly, the video was used to open the Peak Awards ceremony, a celebration of the outstanding academic achievements of Derby College’s students across the past 12 months.
The Awards were attended by over 200 of Derby’s top business people as well as a number of award-winning students and their families.
Archer Hampson were amongst a number of leading Derby businesses to help support the Awards and sponsored the Pre 16 Student of the Year category.
Managing Partner Alison Williams helped to present the award which was given to Matthew Woodhouse who attends the college’s Ilkeston construction academy. He was recognised for his success in a number of skills competitions. Additionally, Matthew Hallam was named as Highly Commended in the category.
Alison commented: “We’re very proud to support these prestigious awards which help recognise the many talented students that pass through the College’s doors at campuses across Derbyshire every year.
“It was brilliant to see our video shown to the public for the very first time in the magnificent surroundings of The Roundhouse. We hope it can help continue to promote the excellent work Derby College does for both its students and the local area.”
